HSE updates advice on stress at work
HSE have updated the information o their website relating to stress at work. Workplace stress is the number one cause of employee absence and commonly results from one of these 6 causes:
- are not able to cope with the demands of their jobs
- are unable to control the way they do their work
- don’t receive enough information and support
- are having trouble with relationships at work, or are being bullied
- don’t fully understand their role and responsibilities
- are not engaged when a business is undergoing change
The website contains really helpful guidance on assessing the risk of stress, recognising the signs of stress, and managing stress in the workplace.
