HSE updates advice on stress at work

HSE have updated the information o their website relating to stress at work. Workplace stress is the number one cause of employee absence and commonly results from one of these 6 causes:

  • are not able to cope with the demands of their jobs
  • are unable to control the way they do their work
  • don’t receive enough information and support
  • are having trouble with relationships at work, or are being bullied
  • don’t fully understand their role and responsibilities
  • are not engaged when a business is undergoing change

The website contains really helpful guidance on assessing the risk of stress, recognising the signs of stress, and managing stress in the workplace.
