Ready to go back to your buildings?
As we gradually come out of lockdown it is time to be thinking about what you need to do to be ready for staff and volunteers being back in the building, and what needs to be in place before you welcome the public once again.
The most important starting point is to review your health and safety policies and procedures. There is no need to write additional policies, but you need to integrate distancing, hand washing and cleaning regime procedures into your existing health & safety, emergency procedures, and standard operating practices.
You will also need to think about whether all staff and volunteers will be back at the same time, or whether this is phased with some still furloughed or working from home.
It will be helpful to consider how people will travel to your premises and whether more parking spaces, bike parks or staggered arrrival times will help you.
